A Door Overhaul is for doors that need more involved correction than a Tune-Up: such as planing the door edges or bottom, repairing old hardware locations, or tightening loose joints.
Typical Pricing: $1,320, which includes up to 8 hours on site. Optional add-ons are available if needed.
What is a Door Overhaul?
A Door Overhaul includes everything in a Door Tune-Up, plus additional hands-on repair work when adjustment alone isn’t enough. This service allows us to reshape, stabilize, and clean up existing doors so they operate correctly and look intentional, without replacing the door.
If a door needs to be planed, patched, or structurally tightened, a Door Overhaul is the appropriate service.

Planing of door edges or bottom as needed for proper fit
Neat wood repairs around old hardware locations where appropriate
Re-securing loose door joints using long structural screws where possible
Minor tweaks to existing weatherstripping if it can be saved

What’s Not Included
A Door Overhaul improves and stabilizes existing doors, but it is not a full rebuild. It does not include:
Full door replacement
Frame reconstruction or major carpentry
Cosmetic refinishing or paint work
If replacement or larger structural work is the better option, we’ll explain why and recommend the appropriate next step.

Will the door be open during the Overhaul?
Yes. The door will be opened and operated throughout the visit. Please secure pets and young children so our door specialist can work safely. The door will remain in sight and attended by our technician at all times.
Timing
A Door Overhaul includes up to 8 hours of on-site work. Some Overhauls are completed sooner; others use the full day depending on conditions.
