The Old State House

The Old State House in Providence, originally completed in 1762, stands as one of Rhode Island’s most important historic landmarks. From colonial governance to the early days of American independence, the building has witnessed centuries of history within its brick walls.

Classic Door is proud to continue contributing to the preservation of this iconic structure. In July 2021, our team installed the front entrance doors—crafting and fitting an entryway that reflects the building’s historic character while meeting modern performance standards.

Today, we’re back on site performing additional work to ensure the building remains secure, functional, and true to its architectural heritage. Projects like this are more than installations—they’re long-term commitments to craftsmanship and preservation. It’s an honor to play a role in maintaining a landmark that has stood at the heart of Providence for over 260 years.
